KOT MS2

One of the key features of the frame was to feature a disc mount at the rear end strong enough to cope with the forces of rear disc brakes. A number of manufacturers in the past have fitted disc mounts to the rear of their bikes, only to see riders break these frames due to the added forces and stresses a disc brake (especially something powerful enough for trials) places on the frame.

The rear disc mount on the KOT is forged, rather than using the fashionable CNC machined technique many other manufacturers use. The advantage of this is correct alignment of the grain structure, and hence a tougher mount! When this is combined with being located between the seat and chain stays, plus a beefy bracing bar.

The mount is also 'Plus 20' - meaning you can run a 20mm larger rear disc without the need for flexy and heavy adaptors. For example: If you had a rear Magura Marta Caliper, this would need a 160mm rotor on most other frames. The KOT MS2 requires a 180mm rotor to be used, which increases braking power by 1/9th!
